Double Chocolate Fudge Brownie (gf)

Double Chocolate Fudge Brownies (GF)

My daughter and I had a blast making this delicious brownie. It came about when I was looking up fudgy brownies in my recipe box and I started playing around with the ingredients because I wanted to make them gluten free and moist. I have had many gf brownies, cookies, cakes ect. but it seems that they always were on the dry side. Kind of crumbly or sandy tasting. I had an idea to use some of my pumkin puree that I had leftover from a Thanksgiving dish so I decided to try it in a new recipe that has way less oil than traditional brownies.

My daughter wanted extra chocolate because as you guessed she has a serious sweet tooth. These are so rich that you only need one to be satasfied instead of half a plate full like you normally eat. Or is that just me lol.

Bake these for a little longer than recommended and you will get more of a traditional texture. We wanted more of a fudgy texture so we baked them for only 40 minutes.

We used cacao instead of coco powder but you can use whatever you have on hand.

The Heath Bars contain almonds in them so if you have an allergy to tree nuts please omit them.

This is now a standing tradition to make during the holidays in my home but you can definitely enjoy them all year round!
